I'm Jonathan Kane. I live in Belfast, and I built this site myself.

I went looking for the software unions would use to run the new processes the Employment Rights Act 2025 creates — the right to access workplaces, ballots run electronically, new employees told about their right to join a union — and couldn't find any. No vendor, on either side, appears to have built dedicated tools for any of it. This site is what came out of reading the law closely enough to be sure of that gap.

Everything on it is invented: the union, the employer, the people, every date in every walkthrough. Every page that tells their story says so. The site exists to explain this legal transition properly, with every claim linked to its source, and to show what a modern, rights-preserving version of these workflows could look like. It is also, honestly, the working prototype of a paid product for unions running these processes for real — I'd rather say that plainly than have anyone find it out later.
